Walker Tape Action Adhesive Remover - Multiple Sizes

A fast-acting, multipurpose oil-based adhesive remover, designed to be skin safe for hair systems. Effective on both glue and tape residue.

Walker Tape Action is an oil and citrus-based adhesive remover designed as a powerful alternative to C22 for removing hair system glue and tape residue. Its formula combines the solvent strength needed for effective adhesive breakdown with a gentler, oil-based base that's comfortable on the scalp.

Action is comparable in strength to C22 but with a different solvent profile - some wearers find it works slightly better on particular adhesives, or prefer its feel on their scalp. If you've been using C22 and want to try an alternative, Action is the natural choice to compare.

Key features

Oil-citrus formula - effective on both glue and tape residue

Fast-acting - begins loosening bonds within 30–60 seconds

Gentle on the scalp compared to straight solvent removers

Compatible with all common hair system adhesives and tapes

Works on lace, poly, mono, and skin base systems

       Available in 118ml and 350ml

Type II vs GhostBuster vs C22 — which remover is right for me

Remover

Formula type

Best for

Walker Tape C22

Citrus solvent

Fast, versatile — works on all adhesives and tapes

GhostBuster

Water-based

Purpose-made for GhostBond — efficient and gentle

Type II Remover

Oil-based

Sensitive scalps, frequent removal, slower and gentler

Walker Tape Action

Oil-citrus blend

Strong but soothing — alternative to C22

Action vs C22 - which should I choose

Both are excellent removers and many wearers stock both. C22 is the more widely used of the two and works well across virtually all adhesives. Action's oil-citrus blend tends to be slightly more soothing on the scalp and is worth trying if your scalp is sensitive or if you find pure citrus solvents occasionally irritating. The 118ml size lets you test either before committing to a larger bottle.

Pairs well with

Walker Tape Bond Breaker Shampoo - follow Action removal with this for a thorough scalp clean

GhostBond Platinum or Supreme - Action handles both GhostBond formulas

Walker Tape Ultra Hold Tape - effective on high-tack tape residue

FAQs

Both are water-based adhesives made by Professional Hair Labs,
but they're designed for different conditions. Supreme is the all-rounder -
strong, comfortable, great for most Australian wearers in everyday conditions.
Platinum is engineered for oily scalps, heavy sweating, and high humidity. If
you're in a tropical climate or sweat heavily, Platinum will typically
outperform Supreme.

Yes - GhostBond as well as other glue is commonly used on lace, poly, and mono base systems. For lace systems, apply adhesive to the scalp only.
Many wearers use a combination of lace front tape at the hairline and GhostBond
under the rest of the system for the best balance of security and natural
hairline appearance.

Yes - C22 is safe for all common hair system base types when used as directed. Apply it to the bond rather than soaking the system, and rinse thoroughly after removal. Prolonged soaking of delicate lace systems is not recommended, but normal application and removal is safe.

A typical removal session uses 5–10ml depending on the area
covered and the type of adhesive used. The 118ml bottle gives you roughly 12–20
removal sessions; the 350ml gives you 35–70 sessions. If you're a professional
doing multiple clients, the 350ml is by far the better value.

How long does GhostBond last?

Hold duration varies based on scalp type, climate, and
activity level — but most wearers in normal conditions get 1–3 weeks of wear
from GhostBond Supreme, and 2–4 weeks from GhostBond Platinum. In hot or humid
Australian conditions (QLD, NT, summer), expect the lower end of these ranges
unless you use a scalp protector.

What's the difference between GhostBond Platinum and Supreme?

Both are water-based adhesives made by Professional Hair Labs,
but they're designed for different conditions. Supreme is the all-rounder —
strong, comfortable, great for most Australian wearers in everyday conditions.
Platinum is engineered for oily scalps, heavy sweating, and high humidity. If
you're in a tropical climate or sweat heavily, Platinum will typically
outperform Supreme.

Is GhostBond waterproof?

GhostBond is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. It will
hold through normal showering and light swimming, but extended submersion (long
swim sessions, surfing) will reduce bond life. For the best results in water,
apply a scalp protector before your adhesive and keep initial wetting gradual
rather than sudden.

What removes GhostBond adhesive?

GhostBuster Remover by Professional Hair Labs is the
purpose-made solvent for GhostBond adhesives. Walker Tape C22 also works
effectively. Apply the remover to the bond edge, let it sit for 30–60 seconds,
then lift the system gently. Follow with a thorough shampoo to remove all
residue before reapplying.

Can I use GhostBond on a lace system?

Yes — GhostBond is commonly used on lace, poly, and mono base systems.
For lace systems, apply adhesive carefully along the perimeter only. Many
wearers use a combination of lace front

What does Walker Tape C22 remove?

C22 removes all common hair system adhesives including
GhostBond, Ultra Hold, and other brush-on glues, as well as tape residue from
Walker Tape products and most other hair system tapes. It works on lace, poly,
and mono base systems.

Is C22 safe for my hair system?

Yes — C22 is safe for all common hair system base types when
used as directed. Apply it to the bond rather than soaking the system, and
rinse thoroughly after removal. Prolonged soaking of delicate lace systems is
not recommended, but normal application and removal is safe.

How long does C22 take to work?

Most bonds begin to release within 30–60 seconds of applying
C22. Older or thicker adhesive may take 1–2 minutes. Let it work rather than
pulling — if you're feeling resistance, apply more C22 and wait a little
longer.

Will C22 damage my scalp?

C22 is citrus-based and generally well-tolerated on the scalp.
It's much gentler than acetone or alcohol-based removers. Always rinse
thoroughly with warm water and follow with a shampoo after use. If you have
sensitive skin, do a small patch test before first use.

How much C22 do I need per removal?

A typical removal session uses 5–10ml depending on the area
covered and the type of adhesive used. The 118ml bottle gives you roughly 12–20
removal sessions; the 350ml gives you 35–70 sessions. If you're a professional
doing multiple clients, the 350ml is by far the better value.
