Walker Tape Bond Breaker Exfoliating Shampoo - 300ml

A specialist shampoo formulated to break down hair system adhesive residue during washing. Gentle enough for regular use.

Walker Tape Bond Breaker Shampoo is a specialist cleanser designed specifically for hair system wearers. Unlike regular shampoos that can weaken the adhesive bond prematurely, Bond Breaker is formulated to work with your maintenance routine - gently breaking down adhesive residue at the right time, during your scheduled removal and wash cycle.

It's the shampoo step that completes a proper hair system maintenance routine. After using C22 or another solvent to loosen and remove the main adhesive, Bond Breaker shampoo cleans the scalp and system thoroughly, removing the remaining residue without harsh stripping that could damage the hair system base.

Key features

Formulated to dissolve adhesive residue during shampooing

Gentle enough for regular use - won't strip or damage the hair system

Suitable for hair systems, lace wigs, and hair extensions

Leaves scalp clean and refreshed, ready for the next adhesive application

Compatible with all Walker Tape and GhostBond adhesives

How to use Bond Breaker in your maintenance routine

After using C22 solvent to loosen and remove the hair system, apply Bond Breaker Shampoo to the scalp. Work into a gentle lather and let it sit for 1–2 minutes, the formula needs a moment to break down remaining adhesive residue. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat if any residue remains. Allow the scalp to dry completely before applying fresh adhesive.

Bond Breaker can also be used to shampoo the hair system itself - apply gently to the hair and base, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry.

Benny’s Notes - Bond breaker has been personally tried and tested by me to see if it holds up to Australian conditions. I use bond breaker every removal after I have cleaned away the residue with C22 for an effortless clean up. This is always a staple in my personal and professional hair system maintenance kit at the barbershop.

Pairs well with

Walker Tape C22 Solvent - use C22 first, then Bond Breaker for a complete removal and clean

Walker Tape Lace Release - for lace system wearers who need gentle solvent before shampooing

Any Walker Tape or GhostBond adhesive - compatible with all products in our range

FAQs

This is one of the most commonly asked questions we get! The answer is it is up to the wearer. In my experience, tape is easier for self install and removal. Glue is best for prolonged wear (3-5 weeks). I personally use tape more often than glue as I change my system frequently and prefer the freedom of doing so without a big clean up. My advice would be to try both options and decide what works best for you.

Both are water-based adhesives made by Professional Hair Labs,
but they're designed for different conditions. Supreme is the all-rounder - strong, comfortable, lower shine, great for most Australian wearers in everyday conditions.
Platinum is engineered for oily scalps, heavy sweating, and high humidity. If
you're in a tropical climate or sweat heavily, in my experience, Platinum will typically
outperform Supreme.

Yes - GhostBond as well as ultra hold glue is commonly used on lace, poly, and mono base systems. For lace systems, apply adhesive directly to the scalp only.
Many wearers use a combination glue at the hairline and tape around the perimeter of the system for the best balance of security and natural hairline appearance.

Yes - C22 is safe for all common hair system base types when used as directed. Apply it to the bond rather than soaking the system, as this can lead to the hair drying out and rinse thoroughly after the residue is removed.

A typical removal session uses 5–10ml depending on the area
covered and the type of adhesive used. The 118ml bottle gives you roughly 12–20
removal sessions; the 350ml gives you 35–70 sessions. If you're a professional
doing multiple clients, the 350ml is by far the better value.
