The Super-V Thin Skin is the system for wearers who want the most realistic scalp appearance and feel available. Its 0.06mm thin poly skin base is soft enough to melt visually against the scalp, creating the appearance of hair growing directly from skin, not from a base material. Combined with V-loop ventilation throughout, the result is a completely knotless finish with natural lift and movement in every direction.
At 0.06mm, the Super-V sits in a sweet spot for thin skin systems: thinner than the standard 0.08mm base for a more natural look, but more durable than the ultra-thin 0.03mm systems that sacrifice longevity for maximum translucency. Most wearers get 2–3 months from the Super-V with proper care, a realistic lifespan that balances natural appearance with practical wear duration.
This system requires more careful handling than the New Australia or Hollywood. Thin skin is more delicate than lace or hybrid constructions, and removal technique matters. It is the right choice for experienced wearers who prioritise undetectable appearance and are confident with their maintenance routine.

Key features
0.06mm Super-thin base - visually disappears against the scalp for maximum realism
V-loop ventilation throughout - completely knotless, no visible knot dots on the base
Natural irregular front hairline - V-loops applied irregularly to replicate real hairline variation
100% human hair - cut, style, and colour-match by a barber/stylist
Trimmable base - can be cut to custom size
Compatible with tape and glue - works best with water-based glues (Ghostbond or Great White)
Who is the Super-V for
Experienced wearers who prioritise maximum visual realism and feel over all other factors
Wearers in cooler, drier Australian climates - thin skin has lower breathability than lace
Those with moderate activity levels - high sweat and heavy swimming will shorten lifespan
Wearers who have tried lace systems and want to experience a different look and feel
Anyone who has told us "I want it to look as real as possible" - this is that system
Important: The Super-V thin skin base requires careful removal technique. Always use a good solvent - never pull against resistance. Rough removal is the primary cause of premature base damage on thin skin systems.
Australian climate note
Super-thin poly skin has lower breathability than lace or hybrid bases. In hot and humid Australian conditions, particularly Queensland, the NT, and coastal areas in summer, the Super-V may feel warmer on the scalp than a lace-based system. It is still wearable in these conditions, and I do so myself, but wearers who are particularly sensitive to scalp heat or who sweat heavily may find the New Australia or Hollywood more comfortable through Australian summer months.
Adhesive compatibility
Thin poly skin surfaces bond excellently with liquid adhesive products - the smooth surface is ideal for easier application and cleanup. Brush-on adhesives like Walker Tape Ultra Hold or Great White Pro and Professional Hair Labs Ghostbond range work well on the skin surface and would be our pick for thin skin.
Pairs well with
Walker Tape Ultra Hold Tape - strong extended wear on skin base
Walker Tape C22 Solvent - the essential remover for thin skin systems
Walker Tape Scalp Protector - extend bond life and protect the skin surface
Ghostbond XL - water-based extended hold glue designed for warmer climates
All Walker tape & Professional Hair Labs products sold by Liberty Hair Co. have been personally tried and tested by me (Benny) and with clients in my barbershops to see if they hold up to Australian conditions. If you have any questions regarding products, how to use them, what to expect or wish to try something new and would like a sample (if we have it available for sample) please reach out.
This is one of the most commonly asked questions we get! The answer is it is up to the wearer. In my experience, tape is easier for self install and removal. Glue is best for prolonged wear (3-5 weeks). I personally use tape more often than glue as I change my system frequently and prefer the freedom of doing so without a big clean up. My advice would be to try both options and decide what works best for you.
Both are water-based adhesives made by Professional Hair Labs, but they're designed for different conditions. Supreme is the all-rounder - strong, comfortable, lower shine, great for most Australian wearers in everyday conditions. Platinum is engineered for oily scalps, heavy sweating, and high humidity. If you're in a tropical climate or sweat heavily, in my experience, Platinum will typically outperform Supreme.
Yes - GhostBond as well as ultra hold glue is commonly used on lace, poly, and mono base systems. For lace systems, apply adhesive directly to the scalp only. Many wearers use a combination glue at the hairline and tape around the perimeter of the system for the best balance of security and natural hairline appearance.
Yes - C22 is safe for all common hair system base types when used as directed. Apply it to the bond rather than soaking the system, as this can lead to the hair drying out and rinse thoroughly after the residue is removed.
A typical removal session uses 5–10ml depending on the area covered and the type of adhesive used. The 118ml bottle gives you roughly 12–20 removal sessions; the 350ml gives you 35–70 sessions. If you're a professional doing multiple clients, the 350ml is by far the better value.
