Walker Tape Lace Front Wig Tape - Multiple Sizes

The professional choice for lace hair systems. Strong, discreet, and easy to remove cleanly.

Walker Tape Lace Front Tape is the most widely used tape for lace hair systems in professional salons - and now available with fast Australian shipping from Liberty Hair Co. If you use a lace base, this tape is specifically engineered for the job: strong enough for a secure hold, discreet enough to sit invisibly under lace, and designed for clean removal without damaging delicate lace edges.

The ultra-thin, clear tape has a matte finish that blends naturally under lace without the shine that other tapes can create. It's the tape that professional stylists reach for when working with lace systems - which tells you everything about its reliability.

Why it works for lace systems

Ultra-thin profile sits flush under lace without creating visible bumps or ridges

Matte finish - no shine showing through lace

Strong perimeter hold without pulling on or tearing delicate lace

Releases cleanly with Lace Release - minimal residue left on the lace

Hypoallergenic formula - gentle on sensitive skin at the hairline

Tape vs glue - which is better for lace systems

Both tape and glue work well on lace systems, and many wearers use a combination. Tape tends to offer a quicker, more predictable application and is easier to remove cleanly. Glue can provide a stronger bond with more flexibility in placement, but takes more practice to apply evenly.

For beginners, tape is generally the more forgiving starting point. For experienced wearers, the choice often comes down to personal preference and lifestyle.

Pairs well with

Walker Tape Lace Release - removes lace tape cleanly without pulling the lace

Walker Tape Natural Hold Tape - good companion for the perimeter of poly or skin systems

GhostBond Supreme - if you want to combine tape perimeter with glue under the centre

FAQs

This is one of the most commonly asked questions we get! The answer is it is up to the wearer. In my experience, tape is easier for self install and removal. Glue is best for prolonged wear (3-5 weeks). I personally use tape more often than glue as I change my system frequently and prefer the freedom of doing so without a big clean up. My advice would be to try both options and decide what works best for you.

Both are water-based adhesives made by Professional Hair Labs,
but they're designed for different conditions. Supreme is the all-rounder - strong, comfortable, lower shine, great for most Australian wearers in everyday conditions.
Platinum is engineered for oily scalps, heavy sweating, and high humidity. If
you're in a tropical climate or sweat heavily, in my experience, Platinum will typically
outperform Supreme.

Yes - GhostBond as well as ultra hold glue is commonly used on lace, poly, and mono base systems. For lace systems, apply adhesive directly to the scalp only.
Many wearers use a combination glue at the hairline and tape around the perimeter of the system for the best balance of security and natural hairline appearance.

Yes - C22 is safe for all common hair system base types when used as directed. Apply it to the bond rather than soaking the system, as this can lead to the hair drying out and rinse thoroughly after the residue is removed.

A typical removal session uses 5–10ml depending on the area
covered and the type of adhesive used. The 118ml bottle gives you roughly 12–20
removal sessions; the 350ml gives you 35–70 sessions. If you're a professional
doing multiple clients, the 350ml is by far the better value.
